How my journey began
Hi, I’m Lakeyshia!
My story began over 21 years ago with the birth of my first child at the tender age of 16. The months that followed his birth included leaving my mother's home after a fight over my son's father to moving into a home with no running water or electricity to being left with a infant after finding out my son's father was cheating most of the time we were together. I would find myself at rock bottom - homeless, hopeless, and alone with a baby.
Life was hard but deep down inside, there was a flicker of hope. A mustard seed size of faith that would allow me to cross paths with the people who would help me obtain safe housing for myself and baby boy in addition to graduating from high school on time and going off to college.
Today, I have been happily married for over 15 years to my best friend and am a mother of 4. I have worked in the insurance industry for 14+ years and also have experience working in the non profit sector. I am actively involved in my church's women's ministry, student ministry, and chair of our nonprofit organization that houses all of the church's compassion ministries. I am also a certified Master Life & Purpose Coach.
I've spent most of my life listening to and encouraging others just the way they needed. It's one of my top spiritual gifts that the Lord entrusted me with. I am so passionate about lifting others up when it feels like all hope is gone. For if it were not for the people that lifted me up when I needed it most 20+ years ago, I would not be where I am today... Unashamed and full of hope!
Although I'm currently not accepting any coaching clients, I look forward to helping & encouraging you to
step fully into your God-given potential as you follow along my own journey!

Lakeyshia has been a mentor to me. Her testimony has helped me in so many ways. I met her thru church. At one point in my life I was down and out my husband had left the family and I was left alone to raise three boys on my own became a single mom and had to struggle .. I never forget Lakeyshia’s kindness to me and my family .. one day when I didn’t have enough food she came over with a fairly new crockpot and a whole chicken that I could cook for my family and I. It meant everything to me. She would give me rides to places and encourage me. I’m not in that dark place anymore and I’m so thankful to have had a great friend like her to support me during that time. She still my friend and I still look to her as mentor and I still have the crock pot :)
